Coast industries, businesses monitoring weather and work schedules (updated)

PASCAGOULA, Mississippi -- Ingalls Shipbuilding and Chevron Corp.'s Pascagoula refinery continue to monitor the winter weather that is expected to impact the Gulf Coast this week.
All Ingalls Shipbuilding Gulf Coast facilities are currently operating under normal working conditions.
Employees are encouraged to check the company's emergency information phone line for any work schedule changes and updates.
Employees should call 1-877-871-2058 and press 2 for Ingalls updates.
  • Alan Sudduth, manager of policy, government and public affairs at Chevron, said the refinery is following its winter storm preparedness procedures and monitoring the latest weather reports and forecasts.
    "We continue to operate and supply products to our customers," he said. "The marketing terminal on Industrial Road (Highway 611) will remain open as long as state and local access roads remain open."
  • Merchants and Marine Bank has announced that the following branches will be closed on Tuesday: Belair, Market Street, Moss Point and St. Martin. 
The following M&M branches will be open on Monday as weather permits for drive-up customers only: Pascagoula, Escatawpa, Wade, Hurley, Lucedale, Gautier and Ocean Springs.
  • NASA's Stennis Space Center in south Mississippi will be closed on Tuesday. Weather conditions will be monitored Tuesday and if conditions warrant, the site will continue to be closed on Wednesday.. A decision will be made by 6 p.m. Tuesday. Employees can call 228-688-3777 for status updates.
