Moss Point Escatawpa Upper Elementary student Alexis McLeod is a busy young lady.
The 11-year-old fifth-grader works hard at school, is a member of the school choir and plays softball. She is also an avid reader, and enjoys drawing and painting.
This artsy student likes the technical side of school, too. Her favorite subject is science.
"I want to be a veterinarian because I love helping animals," Alexis said.
Alexis' teacher, Jacqueline Brown, said she is a motivated and talented
student.
"She's a leader and very organized," Brown said. "She keeps everyone on task. She's very respectful and she's respected by her peers."
